“I'm a teacher”, I would automatically reply. But silently, I didn't know who I actually was outside of the title. I tied my worth to what I could do in my role and in my life. I was drowning in a loop of self-doubt, dependency and burnout. I felt stuck. I kept telling myself to start looking at other schools, hoping a change of scenery would do the trick. But what I really needed to face was the internal disconnection.
Then came November 2025. The pit of the first term, the dip before the holidays, the sickness, burnout, end of term reports, winter festival, you know how it goes. I reached a point where I knew I couldn't keep running from the truth. I didn't want to work so hard, for such lack of appreciation, recognition, beyond my role anymore. I had a sudden urge for change, for momentum, for not feeling stuck. I had to commit to something, someone else. So I made the bold decision; I handed in my resignation and swore to myself to never look back.
At that moment, it wasn't about leaving or just quitting; it was about reclaiming my life. I had to sit with myself, go inward and search for my own treasure. I began asking myself the hard questions: What actually lights me up? What drains me? What else am I good at? What kind of life do I want to build?
That season of deep self-reflection changed everything. I reframed my mindset, stepped out of my comfort zone, joined new communities, took up new hobbies, and deliberately reoriented my entire world. I stopped waiting for clarity to find me and started aligning my daily actions with the person I wanted to become someone who feels valued, motivated, trusted, fulfilled, and secure.
My Mission
I created The R & R Journey to be the roadmap I wish I had when I was feeling lost and stuck. What started as a journey to self discovery, became one I wanted to share, as a coach. No longer inspiring children, but encouraging adults, to navigate the emotional roller coaster of big life transitions, rediscover their worth and boldly step into a life of alignment, with who they truly are.
